CAMHS Crisis Connect
The Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service crisis mental health support line provides phone and online videocall support for children and young people who are experiencing a mental health crisis, as well as support and advice to families, carers and professionals in the community. It provides expert help to children and young people quickly, when they need it most.
This includes:
- Specialist urgent tele-mental health support.
- Crisis management.
- Face to face mental health and risk assessment at PCH Emergency Department or via telehealth.
- Follow up with 24 hours of receiving an assessment or discharge from PCH.

Mates (helpline)
MATES provide suicide prevention through community development programs on sites, and by supporting workers in need through case management and a 24/7 help line. Through their case management support service, qualified case managers assist troubled workers with an effective plan to address their issues.
They do not provide any service other than connecting the worker to appropriate services in their industry and region. They also follow-up with the worker to ensure the help they received was effective.
